MLM Recruiting- The 5 Cs of MLM Recruiting in Network Marketing

Man.

That project is finally finished! And what would it be worth to you to have a LOT of answers to what is working in network marketing recruiting today? A LOT!

We did a 14 month study on what makes successful MLM recruiters tick, how they recruit, what they do, what they think, what they don’t do, when they recruit, when they don’t, and many other situations and traits and tactics that are working out in the marketplace.

Many folks we chatted with were very open to the questions. A few were “too important-too successful” to do anything like this. Yeah, right. It’s called massive ego.

But a lot of the million dollar earners that we chatted with were great with their time and answers, and most truly wanted to be a part of this survey.

Their were some interesting findings, and some were shockers, but the education was staggering we got from it. And it really opened my eyes to a lot of talent out in the industry. We will start with what we call the “5 C’s” of a great Network Marketing Recruiter.

All Million Dollar earners had the 5 C’s and also thought that it was impossible to succeed in MLM without them.

What are they?

The 5 C’s of MLM Recruiting.

1)”Conviction”.

Every MLM Millionaire I chatted with had an incredible Conviction for their Product, Program, and Path they were taking. They were maniacs about what they were doing.

They knew that they knew that they knew, they had the best company and product out in the field. And it was felt in their recruiting.

They had such a strong Conviction that negative Responses were a sign of stupidity. And one top earner said,”I don’t have patience to work with stupid people. I’m glad they told me NO.”

Now THAT”S a Paradigm shift! And the Conviction also was about other things in their life, what they went after. They blazed the trail and set it OnFire!

At PassionFire, we call it OnFire Passion! The Passion to make something happen no matter what, no matter what is said, done, or not done. A Passion that is so Hot that it is consuming.

How is your Conviction and Passion for what you are doing when you recruit.? As One top earner said, “If you cannot get passionate about what you are doing in MLM, then you must be passionate about mediocrity.”

Well said.

2) “Communication”.

The Millionaires I interviewed all had one thing in common: They were ALL Master Communicators! They had an uncanny ability to get their message across and also to be FELT! They had a Power in their Communication and a Power in their Words.

Their Focus was always the OTHER PERSON. And they kept the conversation flowing in that direction, always focused on the other person and what they wanted. Yes, there were some exceptions, whose ego demanded center stage, but again, they were the exceptions.

They also Communicated more FREQUENTLY then the most, as they talked to a whole lot more people. And they were very friendly in their Communication, and personable, and well liked. As one top earner said,”We get paid to talk to people. If you mess that up, your check is Toast!”

AMEN! You need to become a Master Communicator. If you do, you will have Mastered your paycheck!

3) “Consistency”.

The people we interviewed, ALL were one day at a time, one brick at a time consistent. Everyday, day in and day out, they worked their business. They worked methodically, relentlessly, absolutely. They had a plan they followed and a road map to where they were going, in writing.

They worked when they didn’t FEEL LIKE WORKING, and worked when they had planned on it. The Millionaires I interviewed said that it was the one conversation at a time, one day at a time focus that built their MLM business and they couldn’t ask their people to do what they were not doing.

They also said that Consistency helped them get through the inevitable rough periods of this business, and also it sharpened their skills dramatically.

4) “Connection.”

The top earners again, all had one thing in common: They CONNECTED to people in a powerful way. They all focused on finding a commonality to whom they were talking to. They all wanted to get the person smiling quickly, and often. They asked about the person and what was important to them, and then Connected to that value or dream.

They spent a large portion of the time simply becoming their prospects Friend. (MAJOR CLUE!) And then driving that Connection deeper and more powerful. As one number one earner said, “All we want to do is befriend the prospect. It is easier to recruit a friend then a stranger.”

And also, they all had a DEEPER CONNECTION to the Company’s vision and values then the average distributor. They were not JUST a distributor, but a PARTNER to the MLM vision, and that made them MAGNETIC!

5) “Caring.”

The earners I interviewed all had a sense of caring and Compassion about them. Again, there were a few exceptions, but not many. All had a focus of helping people and empowering them, and caring about what was best for the person. As one top earner said,”If you don’t care, neither will the prospect.” AMEN!

Caring was a trait that most whom was interviewed viewed as a necessity, not an option. And the few who only cared about their paycheck, averaged almost 50% less in their check then those who cared about the prospect more than their check. (CLUE!!!!)

Many said that people can feel your caring, and are attracted to that. And they can also feel your selfishness, and are repelled by that. Caring was a FOUNDATIONAL trait that all said was a HUGE factor in their Success.

What do you care about? Paycheck or people?

What’s Best for the prospect or what’s best for you?

What is the right thing for the prospect, or what you think is the right thing for your paycheck?

Your answers to those point to your destiny in this Network Marketing industry.

These are the “5 C’s” of Master MLM Recruiting that was found in the PassionFire Recruiting Project….

Advice For Selecting A MLM Home Business Opportunity

Looking for a MLM home business opportunity to start your own business? Working at home can give the freedom you want and the income that you deserve. By working from home you can be there for your children, cook dinner, and still get in a few hours of work before bed. A work at home business can be very attractive but you must be careful to select one that works for you.

When selecting a MLM home business opportunity for your own, look for one that has being in business for a number of years. Many scams are often fly-by-night operations. That doesn’t mean avoid younger companies, but look carefully before you take a leap of faith. Make sure that they have a good training program in place, a fair compensation plan worked out, and their products have been time tested.

When comparing MLM home business opportunities, think of yourself first. Choose a business that fits your interests and talents; don’t think you can be molded to fit theirs. Examine what you want, to fit your knowledge and background. Many times your life experiences can add greatly to a company’s offerings to create a perfect blend. Take time to select the opportunity that is right for you.

Many who become involved in a MLM home business opportunity start out on a part time basis. This is wise advice for everyone considering the jump into self-employment. Keeping your day job will insure adequate income to meet your household and buy you enough time to get the business established. Also, by keeping your current ties in the business world, you can attract them as customers to your new endeavor.

MLM home business opportunities are waiting for your first chance to grab them. Just remember if something is too good to be true, it probably is. Many companies offer pie-in-the-sky dreams with little else. Keep your wits when looking at MLM home business opportunities and you will land with your feet on the ground.

MLM Success Training: Why Some People Become Wealthy in Network Marketing and Others Don?t

Regardless of whether you watch the Oprah Winfrey show or not, the story of her success is fascinating. You can’t say where she is today is the result of any special advantages she had growing up.

In fact, she came from a broken family and she was abused as a child. She’s also African-American and a woman, so discrimination was likely a factor that counted against her somewhere along the way.

So why is she now worth a billion dollars while many Harvard-educated, white males who grew up with every advantage only make a comfortable living?

Ever wonder why success seems to come easily for some people while others struggle at everything they do? What makes the difference?

Success in Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), Network Marketing, or anything else in life is predictable and can be duplicated by following time-tested principles that all millionaires use.

In fact, if you don’t receive training in these principles of wealth, you can NEVER have it in your life. At least not for long. If you do somehow become wealthy in MLM without learning these principles, you won’t keep it.

Want proof? Just look at people who have won the lottery:

- William “Bud” Post won $16.2 million in the Pennsylvania lottery in 1988. Now he lives on his Social Security and food stamps which amounts to $450 a month.

- Ken Proxmire was a machinist when he won $1 million in the Michigan lottery. He moved to California and went into the car business with his brothers and he filed for bankruptcy within five years.

- Suzanne Mullins won $4.2 million in the Virginia lottery in 1993. Today she’s deeply in debt to a company that loaned her money using the winnings as collateral.

- “Winning the lottery isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be,” says Evelyn Adams. She won the New Jersey lottery not just once, but twice (1985, 1986), in an amount of $5.4 million. Today she lives in a trailer and all the money is gone.

- Janite Lee from Missouri won $18 million in 1993. She generously gave her money to a variety of causes including politics, education and the community. According to published reports, eight years after winning, Lee had filed for bankruptcy with only $700 left in two bank accounts and no cash on hand.

- Willie Hurt of Lansing, Mich., won $3.1 million in 1989 and two years later he was broke and charged with murder. His lawyer says he spent his fortune on a divorce and cocaine.

- Charles Riddle of Belleville, Mich., won $1 million in 1975. Later he got divorced, faced several lawsuits and was indicted for selling cocaine.

People have a “financial thermostat” and just like the thermostat that controls the heating or cooling in your house, your thermostat is currently set for the amount of money you have.

If you somehow receive more money from your MLM business than your financial thermostat is set for, like the lottery winners above, you’ll waste it away until you are back to your set level.

If you want more money from your Network Marketing business, or you want to keep the money you are receiving, you have to raise your financial thermostat. It’s that simple.

How do you raise your thermostat? By learning and practicing the principles of wealth. All self-made millionaires live by these principles.

If you’re not currently having MLM success, it’s likely because you aren’t applying the same principles that Oprah and all other billionaires and millionaires apply to achieve their success. All that’s standing in the way between you and success is the application of these general principles.

So where do you learn these success principles?

The best place is directly from people who understand the principles and have had success using them. There’s no quicker way to get where you want to go than to find a mentor to guide you along your way.

The person you want is someone who is currently where you want to be, and is willing to teach you the wealth principles. Of course, not all successful people fully understand these principles even though they naturally apply them.

Another good way to learn the principles of wealth is through the greatest success book of all time, Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. The principles you need to understand are in this book. You’ll need to do some work to uncover them, understand them, and put them into practice, but they are in the book.

Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich is all about using the same resources that millionaires use to get the same results as them.

If you are not experiencing the kind of financial success you desire, perhaps all you need is a little MLM success training from a mentor or by learning and practicing the principles in Think and Grow Rich. Sometimes all it takes is few subtle shifts in your thought processes to create a GIANT difference in your results!

MLM Training – The Network Marketing Success Secrets of Striking Gold in Your Memory Jogger

The question all new Network Marketing Distributors ask when they get started is:

"Who Do I Know?"

In this mlm training article, we are going to go over the contact list. This is where you start "Digging for Gold" in your network marketing business!

Every name that you know is a gold mine. And most never dig it. This article will help you understand where the gold mine really is in your relationships.

INFERNO Secret:

It is NOT who you know. It is who your friends know, and then who THEY know, and then who THEY know, and then who THEY know.

It is called “Generations” in a memory jogger. You MUST dig into the generation structures of your memory jogger, and understand that it is sometimes 2-3 generations deep before you strike gold.

Your friends are a valuable resource to your dream, and many will help you build it if you ask them. These are people you want to begin sharing the life-changing message and products/services of your mlm company with immediately.

You will want to write down at least 25 people to start. And then build up to a list of 52 names, and eventually 100 or more.

Why 52 names?

There is nothing magical about the number 52, but it is used to help create a mental picture. The number 52 represents a deck of 52 cards. With your mlm program, you can reach upper network marketing leadership levels with the right leaders.

So picture yourself with a deck of 52 cards. You know that somewhere in that deck there are 4 "Aces," and you need at least 3 Aces to maximize your success initially. You don’t know where the Aces are, but you know they are somewhere in the deck.

Imagine turning those cards over systematically one at a time, searching for those Aces until you find them. Go through your list of 52 names one at a time? Just remember that there are also a couple of "Jokers" in every deck!

It may take one person 37 cards to find the aces, another 45, and then another all 52. But the aces WILL show up!

INFERNO Secret:

If you continue to flip the cards over, you WILL find the aces. If you continue to talk to people, you WILL find the aces.

This next step should be done with your sponsor face-to-face or on the telephone.

You will find that there are basically three people you will be talking to:

1) The people that are Motivated.

These are 20% of the people. They are motivated to grow, improve, and to increase who they are and where they are going in life. They will be very interested in what you have to say.

2) The people that are Curious.

These are the 30% of the people. They are curious about what you have to say, and curious about finding out more about your products. Many of these folks will end up being customers as well as distributors in your mlm business.

3) The People that are not interested.

These are the 50% of the people that simply are not interested in change and growth, and will not really listen to what you have to say. Get referrals if possible, sell them your products, but move on! They like where they are in life, and want to stay there for now. That could change. Don’t take it personally.

You want to find the people that are motivated for your network marketing business, and talk to them. They are the ones that want to do something with their life. The curious will want to know, and the uninterested will want to be negative. It will take a lot of conversations to find the motivated, but you will need a tool that can help you construct your mlm contact list.

INFERNO Secret:

Quit looking for the people you are looking for, and start looking for the people who are looking for you.

Here is a VERY brief MLM Memory Jogger List that we used for years and the complete listing had over 1000 “joggers” to help the new distributor remember who they have forgotten.

INFERNO Secret:

To double the size of your list immediately, ask one simple question: “Who Do I know that they know?”

WHO DO YOU KNOW?

Network Marketing and its Future

Internet marketing has had phenomenal growth and this trend will continue with no signs of abatement in foreseeable future. Individual entrepreneurs and small business organizations will increasingly look for fresh avenues on the Internet. By all indications network marketing will continue to grow providing fresh opportunities for serious marketers.

Sweeping changes are engulfing us all driving entire humanity with irresistible force. Though we are caught up in middle of storm, we do not fully realize the implications. Future historians will perhaps be able to see our times in better perspective. The forces of globalization is breaking down the barriers and opening up the world market. Market is fast becoming global riding over advances in Internet technology.

The growth of American workforce is maintained at 1.1% since 1990′s and is likely to continue till the end of present decade. In the next decade the growth is predicted to fall significantly. But a major change is occurring in the demographic composition of the workforce.

Shifting Demographic Pattern: The move is towards more balanced distribution by age, sex and ethnicity. The average age is increasing, as the baby-boomer generation is getting older. Rising female participation and declining percentage of male participation is bringing workforce closer to gender balance. Inflow of immigrants is increasing racial and ethnic diversity with Hispanics and Asians being the fastest growing groups.

What does all this have to do with network marketing? Plenty. Major chunk of individual internet marketers come from the workforce. Network marketing is also subjected to continuous evolution. Network marketers all over the world are not bound by national boundaries and are in a sense true global players. Firms are increasingly outsourcing their non-core functions. There is greater decentralization of decision-making.

There is a definite shift from permanent lifetime employment to less permanent employment. The increase in self-employment is evident and distances between work centers are becoming irrelevant. More opportunities are being created for work-from-home type of jobs and people are becoming more inclined towards home -based or part time occupation. There is trend towards knowledge-based work in which education and training becomes a continuous process.

Explosive growth can be expected in network marketing as opportunity providers and opportunity seekers grow in number. Competition between network-based organizations is likely to intensify as they tap on the same common resources. Those established and time-tested organizations are likely to survive and prosper which adapt to the change.

If so much opportunities are being created, why failure rate of network marketers so high? My guesstimate is that most of them leave too soon to gain anything for variety of reasons. They were probably hooked by get-rich-quick schemes that sucked their time and money without giving much in return. Like any other venture network marketing takes time to develop. Only those who persist remain to reap the benefits. It is interesting that in spite of growth of network marketing in last few decades, the failure rate has remained fairly constant.

It is important to get associated with organizations which have good track record and dynamic management to quickly respond to any change. For the organizations which market their products thru affiliate programs, it is in their interest to look after their affiliates well. The affiliates who are new to internet marketing need training, support, guidance and more to earn for themselves and for the organization.

Network marketing is here to stay and grow offering tremendous earning opportunities. Those who join good promising organizations, have the patience to stick with them and work with open, positive mindset can expect to be suitably rewarded.
